The Bullets retained their 4TT trophy in style in a gripping week of top flight speedway with some fantastic entertainment going on up and down the country this week at all three levels of the sport in the UK.
The Lincs quartet of Petr Marko, Henrijs Birkerts, Ray France and Andre Hayward plus reserve Johannes Estil all contributed to the cause and took full and active part in retaining the silverware they won last season.
The start to the week got off to a flying start as the Bullets won the first leg at Workington, a track they have had some recent successes on (KOC cup last season) to lay down a marker and kicked on from there. They proved a solid quartet on track throughout and were fancied going into the final with a lot of group points. It wasn't just the top four responsible, as Reserve Johannes Estil was called up in the last round of legs, as Ray France was a little unwell, Estil was not found wanting and his 5 points added weight to the final tally.
Bottesford will hope the taste of silverware keeps the team hungry for more and spurs them onto more success this term and beyond as attentions now turn to the UL round 10 which also sees a track debut for golden oldie Fredrik Andersen.
estuarywhales: o/325's result now on website, there could be some interesting riders for your teams given the performances in these series of meetings, given the recent successes of Black and Andersen.
